Bio Cucumeris

Neoseiulus cucumeris, formerly known as Ambyseius cucumeris, is a predatory mite that feeds on the larval stage of thrips, especially western flower thrips (Frankliniella occidentalis). They will also feed on pest mites, such as two-spotted spider mites (Tetranychus urticae), broad mites (Polyphagotarsonemus latus), russet mites (Aceria anthocoptes), cyclamen mites (Phytonemus pallidus), and can feed on pollen or Artemia, making them an excellent preventative biocontrol agent.

The effective use of Bio Cucumeris relies upon careful monitoring of pests in the crop. It is possible and recommended to release N. cucumeris prophylactically, before signs of infestation. Additional treatments can be undertaken if the thrips or mites are noticed. The quantity and frequency of N. cucumeris release depends upon the crop and the degree of infestation.

Predatory mites ship with a prey mite as a food source, in a carrier that’s a mixture of vermiculite and bran.
